Neuroscience of Communication

This integrated understanding is fundamental, not only for our self- knowledge, but also for practical applications in areas such as health or education, and also for the advancement of scientific knowledge about the functioning of the human brain.Human development is a dynamic process in which social and cultural experiences influence brain development, which in turn shapes personality, preferences, emotions, and actions.

Communication neuroscience explores how neural interactions facilitate or compromise the transmission, reception, and understanding of messages

Communication neuroscience focuses on the processes by which the nervous system, a vast network comprising the brain, spinal cord, sensory organs, and nerves, captures, interprets, archives, and processes responses to stimuli, in the form of movements, decisions, sensations, or language.
At LICA, we investigate how the nervous system impacts our decisions, behaviors, and emotions, emphasizing the importance of this knowledge to better understand the impact of communication on human nature (and vice versa), using devices that record eye movements and other biometric reactions in real time.
